Description
Black wheat is a special variety of wheat developed in India (notably by NABI – National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali) and also grown in some parts of Africa and the Middle East. Its dark purple to black color comes from anthocyanins – powerful antioxidants also found in blueberries and black rice.
